Durga Seed is a specialized company with decades of experience in research, production, processing and marketing of high performing open pollinated and hybrid vegetable seed varieties.
Under the leadership of Mr. Subhash Mahajan with its principal office at Chandigarh , India , Durga Seed Farm (Regd.) originated in 1969 with the production of Cauliflower Snowball -16 seed for the first time in India . Since then, the company has laid great emphasis on research & development and quality control.
Head Office
Our research & development centers are located in 25 hectares of land with state of the art green house structures. In these tropical & temperate regions parent stocks are maintained and first trials on new developed varieties are performed. The newly developed strains are first assessed by subject specialists and then put for trials at different locations having different agro climatic conditions. Strains which pass all the trials successfully are then introduced for commercial cultivation. Thus, assuring the growers that Durga Seed forms the basis of successful & healthy crop.

Quality precedes our name and good infrastructure is a prerequisite. Our self owned centralized office at Chandigarh , India is well equipped with ultra modern seed testing, processing & packaging machines to meet customer need and provide optimum satisfaction. We have our own seed testing laboratory to get valid and reliable information related to our varieties. Large four screen graders have been installed for cleaning the raw seed of dust, inert matter and separating seed according to size and density.
For packing, we house automatic packing & sealing machines which can pack seed quantities varying from 25gm-25kg. For seed storage, cooling chamber has been erected having the capacity of around 1,20,000 kg seed weight. Temperature and relative humidity are controlled automatically for better storage of precious seeds.
We also have our own Research & Development farms in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh with varying agro-climatic conditions to have year round research & production activities.
